I'm Megan, the human behind Paper Pretzel. Not too long ago, I decided it was time to get serious about what I wanted to be when I grew up.

After years in a variety of graphic, UI/UX, and product design roles on some truly fantastic teams, I realized I wasn’t chasing a promotion or a new title—I was chasing a creative purpose in crafting and activating living, impactful brands and the things that make them move, acknowledging and adapting to the ever-changing world they exist in. I was after the chance to offer creative services that could bend and twist a little more than in a traditional workspace. I longed for a way to pair my own take on an elastic, efficient approach with a revenue model that benefits the folks I work with, but still keeps my lights on. I wanted to curate a space where the expert's insight valued the human experience of the business owner trying to make the right decisions in all aspects, delivering smart outputs that leveraged both. And, I wanted to test my own skills in building up a business for myself so I had first-hand experience in how it works, or how it doesn't.

So here I am doing all of that as Paper Pretzel. I'm out to build collaborative relationships where I get to work, learn and grow with people and businesses of all kinds who know they deserve design that turns heads and tells stories, building their brands and things that (em)power them.
